Do you know what “blue zones”? Is a concept coined by Dan Buttner and represents areas where a higher than normal concentration of centenarians live. Studies on the populations of this area revealed five common elements, “the five Fs”: Food, Fitness, Friends, Faith, Fulfilment.
1.Food – a diet with fresh produce, freshly cooked, no “designed foods”, no excess of sugar or salt.
2. Fitness – an active life involving a lot of movement and physical work.
3. Friends – a sense of community with strong relations.
4. Faith – a set of values, religious or not, that are the guiding principles in people’s lives.
5. Fulfillment – a sense of meaning, a reason to wake up in the morning
The question is will you be able to get this in a city, in a village, living by yourself in nature?
